A riddle: if OLP makes an album and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

How in this day and age where music (both good and horrible) is being made everyday by so many people is someone like Teedus still extremely obsessed with this band? It saddens me that someone devotes so much time and thought to a band that hasn't been relevant for nearly a decade. I mean few bands transcend their era but OLP is the Canadian U2. They had some hits that people of their era remember and it brings back fuzzy feelings from their grade 9 dances, but that's about it.

It'd be really interesting to see what the OLP.net website stats are like, because I'd be surprised if the number of non-CM related hits goes beyond two digits.

Oh, hi CM. Sorry about the OLP negativity (who would I be without it?), but not only couldn't I believe that OLP was actually considering releasing something, but that there were still people so into them that they were dissecting comma placements and html codes. It's cool if you still like them and plan on buying their album, but come on guys (Teedus), it's a bit much to be spending so much time analyzing messages from anonymous tipsters (good job by the way Trustworthy) and hitting refresh on .net

Anyways, that's my annual post.

No music moves me like OLP. I mean, I have a list of favourites, but OLP just do something musically that holds me on and on.

In response to Jim, it's all subjective to the listener. There's no set way to judge good or bad. There may be a general consensus of what constitutes it, but it's not set in stone. People enjoy different music for different reasons.

No, wait... 1993? Didn't Jeremy join the band in '93? And how could any regular old Joe be a OLP fan in 1993? They were called "As If" back then anyway.

Actually, they changed to OLP in 1992. So if he lived in Toronto around that time, he may have been able to pick up their demo.
