Are you wanting to burn copies of DVD's, or are you wanting to take video clips and make them into DVD's?

yis the latter. A video file and burn it onto DVD, but something that can play on a DVD player, not just data files.

Well, that opens up a big box of possibilities then. The first thing I should warn you about, is that taking a video file that is lower than 720x480 resolution, and increasing the size of it to 720x480 (standard DVD resolution) will pixelate the video. If that doesn't bother you, then no worries.

Can you tell me some more about the file you are wanting to get to DVD? What format is it (.mpg, .flv, .wmv, .mov, etc) and what resolution (when the file is playing, you can usually go to File>Properties to get the info). This will help me recommend some programs.

actually that's if the video is in a 4:3 aspect ratio, but the 720 horizontal pixel amount is pretty accurate, it's going to be the standard resolution of dvd quality media. the second pixel amount is dependent on the original video source's aspect ratio though.

I did manage to get into the advanced properties through My Computer and deleted something that I guess removes Windows 2000 from the boot screen. So XP will just boot by default and I don't have to go to that option screen.

Meh... This thing is an old turd anyways. I should just let it die. It's only got 128 MB RAM for cripes sakes!!

Hahahah whoops. Sorry. I forget that not everyone speaks "geek".

Glad you got it working to your liking without me having to try to translate! I don't know how long that might've taken me to figure out.

You may want to swing by videohelp.com. Very helpful page. There is no really great all in one program, unless quality is of no real concern to you. A good freeware file convert is Super. It handles a lot of format conversion. For creating and burning DVD's, it depends on how much detail you want to go into. If you just want a basic DVD with a menu that says "play", then Nero will work just fine. If you want to crank out some complex shit, then Adobe Encore, DVD Lab Pro, Sony DVD Architect, or Final Cut Pro are great.

Ok I have a question. I have a blog, rokthisway.com. It was a wordpress.com site, but then my brother helped me change it to a wordpress.org site hosted by freehostia. Except if you look at it, the first page it directs to is a directory. How do I fix that?

Go into your Wordpress control panel, and click on settings. This should take you to the general settings page. Scroll down to blog address, and type in http://www.rokthisway.com/. That should set your blog to the main page of your site.

OK first problem...I was messing around with my sidebar and have apparently removed my login button. Any ideas on how to find it?

I think I accidentally hit a button that made my keyboard turn french, and I can`t figure out how to turn it back. (It`s not my laptop, it`s got Vista and it makes me confused)
I`ve tried hitting random button combinations, and going into the keyboard through the control panel, but no luck. Anyone know what I have to doÉÉÉÉ

Is there any sort of lanquage button on your taskbar to the left of the clock?

If you don't see that try Left Alt + Shift

If you don't want French ever again:
Go to your control panel -> Regional Options -> Keybaords and Languages -> Change Keyboards
If French is in there then you should just be able to highlight it and remove it.

Bon?
