I couldn't believe it when the drum part started. I went "wait, no, it couldn't be..." then it was... and I ran over to my computer and completely missed the whole scene cos I was posting. :lol:

Note to self: must remember to find episode online later to watch ending.

Just watched it. So awkward. They edited it badly and it overrides the entire scene.

An OLP poster makes a cameo in the background of a recording studio in "Instant Star." I was pretty pumped.

Nielson Ratings are hard to figure out. (By show, they're in percentages apparently? But by network, they show millions of veiwers?) But, I'm gonna guess somewhere between 4 to 5 million people listened to Innocent on Scrubs last night. That's pretty cool.

Zach Braff usually likes to take control of what music goes on that show. I wonder why OLP, and Innocent, were on it? Think Sony is trying to get the word out or the music editor likes OLP?

I bet more people listened to it on American Idol last year. That was so cool to have the winner of AI be a huge OLP fan. I bet this is why "Innocent" was on Scrubs. I'm surprised (but glad) that it wasn't David Cook's version (he made a studio recording of it).

You wouldn't believe how many YouTube comments I've seen on OTHER OLP songs where people were like "wow this is way better than Innocent! Why dint David Cook sing this? OLP rules!".

I figured this was a rather fitting thread to post random day-to-day experiences involving OLP.

There was a big gym activity thing at school today, and the guy working it asked four people from my team (including me) what their name and favourite band/artist was. People go on, saying Nickleback, Buckcherry, and Britney Spears, and I said, "I'm Shanae, and my favourite band is Our Lady Peace."

The guy seemed impressed with me, and said, "Our Lady Peace?! Now that's something I haven't listened to in a long time! You know, I was about your age when Clumsy came out." I said, "I know! It was a long time ago... I was one when Clumsy came out. Wait. I was two."

It pretty much made my day.

Anyway, yeah, more people heard it on American Idol, but that doesn't really count in my book, since it was destroyed for that broadcast.

Considering he butchered the shit out of the song on the show (and for some reason was told it was awesome), I'm not surprised these comments exist.

That's what irritates me about most of the comments I see... most of the little teenieboppers are actually saying that Cook's version of "Innocent" was much better.... HAHAHAHA! No sound in the universe supercedes the euphoric experience of Michael Raine Maida's voice... even if his falsetto is being depressed.
