I'm classified as a teenie-bopper, because I'm thirteen, but I like to think that I'm above that because it's about the music, not sex appeal. I'm often telling people older than me to grow up... anyways. Yeah, I did think Raine was hot. He was really good looking from Happiness... to HiPT. I'm not used to seeing people looking like they did in the early nineties. (And in Clumsy, he looked kind of creepy.)

He has a much more sophisticated and reserved look now. His clothing style has changed, his hairstyle is gone, and he even grew a beard. OLP isn't going to be selling albums off of his sex appeal... this seems cruel to say, but now he's just kind of... old.

Enough about that, though.

I still think Raine can hit most of the notes he could, just maybe not after he exhausts it or if he isn't warmed up properly. If he rested his voice up then I'm sure he'd be able to pull off most of the stuff he used to be able to.

If you thought he looked creepy there you should watch Century Hotel sometime.

Lando wrote:Raine's not nearly at the level of canadian music male sex symbol that he used to be when he was younger, not that he ever promoted himself that way, but he was considered to be hotter in his younger days and i don't see teens and tweens or female fans in general (with the exception of Johnny) going through that with him anymore like they used to. I mean he's pushing 40, he's going to be 39 in feb, and back in the days of their high popularity with tours like Summersault he was late 20s/early 30s... So I'd say most of those days are behind him.

I still think he's amazingly gorgeous and sexy! Yum-o!

He was amazingly creepy in that movie. And a terrible actor. BTW - I thought he was hot in Clumsy. For the record.

Also, I can't stand Rachel Ray. But Yum-O seemed the most appropriate response to Raine's yumminess.

Oh, he's still hot... just not nearly as hot. He's definitely aged, though. Someone I know thought he was in his forties. There's one picture of him up on chartattack.com from when OLP was busking in TO... you can see the age in him there. It surprised me, really.

I'd love to get my hands on Century Hotel, but I can't find it and it's rated R. Hahaha. Aren't him and Chantal some drugged up rockstars from the 60's or something?

His facial expressions and clothing choices from Clumsy were just odd. I'm thinking of Superman's Dead. He looked dandy in 4am... and absolutely stunning in Clumsy. (By the way... Clumsy = one of my favourite vids EVER)

Raine is a reclusive musician who jerks off to Chantal, the maid who cleans his room and wants to be a songwriter. He has a heart condition for which he takes medication. I could ruin it for you if you want.

Check eBay. That's where I got my copy.

I thought you meant in real life. I was like, "Gee, that wasn't very nice!" Hahaha.

That sounds... intense.

She looks like a hipper version of Sarah Palin. That's what I told Kicker when we watched it together - he'll never be able to look at Chantal the same again!

Fine then!

Actually, I should finish my art research project on Fernand Leger. I quite like his artwork. I don't like making a slideshow about it, though.

This is my favorite artist:

I actually own several pieces of her artwork. She's an amazing writer too.

My favorite artist is (as cliche as it would be for an OLP fan to say this) Oli Goldsmith. I'm so happy they chose his album cover, because I love his artwork now that I had the chance to hear of him.

He's an awesome artist, but he's pretty crappy at meeting the demands of selling his artwork.

I love his work, too! That was actually one of the reasons I chose to do the project on Leger... his work made me think of Oli's. Sometimes, I pull out the SM booklet and just take everything in. It's so interesting, and there's always something going on. I love it!
