A lot of us over at the Clumsy Monkey OLP forum were getting word that the new OLP single was coming out today. Then apparently it didn't. Some stations got report that it was being held off until 2009? I was wondering if you could fill us in on any news with what's happening with a single?

I'm digging this name. It kind of ties in with what's been told about the album, with how they've gotten away from big producers, pleasing pop radio (along with MTV), and pressure from the record company. They've gotten away from it like an escape artist.

Also, I'm excited about the single news, it was vague, but news nonetheless. Hopefully it will be sometime this month.

I liked Escape Artist better as well... But 38 minutes? Seriously!? I suppose if the songs are great, it shouldn't matter, but still... 38 min. seems about 10 or 15 minutes shorter than it should be.

The Ramones cds were only 35-40 minutes long..

It is not so much the quantity as it is quality..

The other OLP cds ran between 40-50 mintues. Except SM cause of all the talking and 15 minutes of silence between the last song and Molly..

i kinda like burn burn better. it's more...i dunno, better. escape artist reminds me of trapezes, which makes me think of clumsy. not that that's bad, burn burn is just more original sounding.

I was telling Nikki the time and track numbers don't really surprise me. Raine's album clocked in with 10 songs at 34:30, approximately.

I like Escape Artist better, but I guess I don't get to make those decisions, so I'll have to live with Burn, Burn....which I always read as "Bum, Bum"...which makes me think of another Canadian.....

Not gonna lie, 38 minutes sounds disappointing to me... I like longer songs and albums personally. But oh well...

Burn, Burn is fine, I could give two craps what the title is as long as the music is good.
