Here we are, one day until the rumoured "Right Stuff" premier on Power 97. Can anyone confirm or deny this rumour?

Casey from 97.7 told me not too long ago that the 17th was the day that the label would send him the song... so ... if the label sticks to it, then it's happening. Could be put up on Myspace tomorrow, too. We shall see. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, I'll do my best to rip it. If it's on MySpace it'll be easier, but if it's a radio stream, the quality could suck since I don't have HD radio.

I sent off an e-mail to the music director at my favorite Canadian station to find out what's going on. I still think this is just a rumor, but if it's true that would be nice...

I just spoke with the record company and there were no plans (on their part) to release anything today. Right now, the new OLP has no set release date. Apparently a release for early December has been discussed but nothing has been firmed up.

I haven't checked out the band's webpages yet. Is there any announcement there?

The lunchtime guy just said that they're still waiting on the label to send them the single, and that they hope to have it before 6pm. Sounds like there have been conflicting reports though, so I'll believe it when I see/hear it.

I don't think they're getting it legit, or at all, since the e-mail I got from my local station says that the label doesn't even have a single to send out.

Yeah, I really won't be surprised at all if OLP has changed their minds and pushed the single release back, since that's what they do best.

The fact that Power 97 is still reporting on-air that they're going to be playing the song today is encouraging though. You'd hope/assume that they'd do a little research before making that claim.

OLP has never confirmed this single themselves. This was only a rumor started by this one station. OLP has been pushing the single "Burn, Burn" for at least the last month, with no mention of changing the first single to "The Right Stuff." So if they changed their minds, it's to change it to this rumored release.

I honestly think this is all a hoax. I'll keep my doubt until I'm proven wrong.

Good call. The DJ just came on and said that the new single has now been pushed back until early 2009. Boourns.
