Not sure if the new album has officially been released yet, but I know the preorders were supposed to be sent on Tuesday. They got held up, however, because the band's record label sent GoMerch the wrong CDs!! But they're making it up to us with a digital download of the entire album, and the record label is sending additional CDs to the preorders. That's pretty awesome of them.

So I'm listening, and it's a different sound for them. I really like it so far, and haven't heard a song yet that I don't like (there are a couple songs on each of the previous albums that I tend to skip when I'm in the car because I'm just not in the mood for a mediocre song - so far, none of those!). Did anyone else preorder or get a copy of the album early?

I love the alternates from the EP that they included as a digital download when I preordered. It's cool to hear the progression from EP to album, and hear how the songs may have changed.

Also, I really loved the song they had up on their MySpace for a while, The Praxter. I'm sad that it didn't make it onto the album, I was so hoping I'd get a clean copy of it this time around. Maybe the next time, or a future EP or something.
