Clumsy Live

Post by Driven »

This is probably a stupid question, but does anyone know what Raine is saying at the end of the live version of Clumsy from 2005 to now? To me, it sounds like either "Live on, live on...." or "Never, never...." but I can't tell.

Just curios.

What CD is it on? Or is it just a recording someone made from a concert? Can you post a yousendit link or something to it?

Well it's on the Live DVD that came with A Decade. But they play it live. They slow down the first verse and then have a bit of an outro.

Here's a really bad quality of the Massey Hall/DVD version: http://youtube.com/watch?v=nhv_iHv0hFg

Okay so I don't actually have that DVD, which is why I didn't know what you were talking about. I decided not to buy it because I am poor and would like new music instead

Anyway.

After listening to that video, it sounds like he's saying "I never never never etc. knew you at all."

PS - I see Joel!

Thanks! That's what it sounds like to me too, but I wasn't sure. I got the Canadian/DVD version of A Decade a couple of weeks ago off Ebay for about $20 bucks. The versions of Clumsy and Thief are worth it alone.

Yeah, they've made Clumsy and Superman's Dead great. I've been looking for a video of Superman's Dead, and I finally found one. This is the best version I've heard yet.

Is that the best live performance of Superman's Dead that they've ever done?

Because I remember thinking that when I initially saw it but then wasn't sure if I'd still have the same feeling towards it after 2-3 years.. But I believe I still do.

Thoughts? Opinions? Slanderous remarks?

I know this has nothing to do with Clumsy but in a way it kind of does because it's still HIPT tour related and also deals with an amazing, potentially epic outro..

That's the structure of how they played that song all tour, so who knows. But in general, I would say yes. That's all Joel Shearer right there. I hope they bring him back on tour because he did wonders for the band live.

The 2005-2006 version of Superman's Dead is the best live version I ever saw. I love how they jam at the end of the song. That is why I love it so. It just doen't end with the "any, any, any " part. They continue to jam. I thought it was interesting how they reworked a few of the older songs. I will admit I did not really care for how CLUMSY was done. Same with the 2003 version of Birdman... That year Raine spoke the lyrics more then sang them..

I have that MM Performance. I forgot about that ..

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again
