I'm really interested to find out how much the musicians raised busking. Whenever anyone hears word of it, please post. :)

I actually haven't watched the videos yet. Been too busy trying to work on my Weezer bootlegs and other =w= stuff, and now I apparently start my new job tomorrow. Bah. I wanna watch OLPness. :(

Gotta say. I've told loud singers to try to sing quieter before. I'm all for letting it out and enjoying yourself at a show (lord knows I do), but if you're singing so loudly that *I* can't enjoy myself because I can't even hear the band, that's just not fair. If you do it politely, the person usually appreciates it because they didn't even realize they were embarrassing themselves by singing so loudly. Or if they're super drunk, they'll usually decide to be jerks about it. Heh.

I recall some fans doing that a few years ago at a concert in Vancouver...

I don't know WHAT you're talking about!!! *glances over at her Stever signed kazoo* Nope, not at all.

exactly! I always sing pretty loud at Rock concerts, but I can never actually hear myself over the band. That's the point of them being so loud. (Plus I sing the right notes). I don't understand how the girl sitting behind me last month even managed it. She also had a tendency to come in before Raine did.

Handsome Devil

You never been to a show at Roseland or Irving Plaza in NYC. Trust me you will have a person surf up to the front. The guards pull them down and send them back into the crowd and they will do it again. It is so common here.. When I saw the Foo Fighters years ago at Roseland this one guy kept surfing up front. The whole front was getting annoyed cause he get up front. Be pulled down an dput back in the crowd only to do it again. By the 10th time(and I am not lying there) People started pinching him, etc when he went over there heads or punched him when he came back in the crowd..

Nikki-Remember the girls singing opera like at the MSN show in 02'.. OMG that was hilarious and annoying. For others who do not know or remember. OLP played a free accoustic show for MSN in 02' in NYC's Central Park. During the show there were these girls who kept singing opera like over Raine.. People kept staring at them..

As for the show. I think the band enjoyed it cause they were out playing for something they loved.. They were playing for fans( the few who made it out) and just got to enjoy the music. There was nothing to worry about except enjoying themselves. Where as in concert there may be other outside things and BS to deal with before you perform. I think they are just enjoying getting out there and playing together as a band. It has been along time. Plus they could do whatever they want. I honestly think OLP love the closeness like that.. Unfortunately they can not always play that intimate of shows or performances in Canada.

It looks like they were having fun..

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

honestly nikki i would be surprised if they surpassed raine in income last year. of course we will never know the corporate donations.

when chantal was playing 1st can place she was bringing in the cash because she was telling people to donate, where as at most places it really was not conducive to donations, kinda sucked that way.

new job, what are you doing???

My new job's really a temp job. My mom's friend works for a law office, and they just moved to a new building, so they need a little extra help re-filing and hooking up computers and stuff. So that's what I'm doing. Pretty nice way to make some cash. Plus the view from Joe's office is AMAZING. 20th floor overlooking Philly and the Delaware River. Plus everyone there's super nice.

I do remember hearing about those girls! Thankfully I was on the other side of the bubble, and I couldn't really hear them. That was such a neat show.

Nah, there's not really enough to do to make it full time. I don't want a full time job, anyway. I get ridiculously exhausted and worn out just working a few days.
