Singer/songwriter Ben Kweller [ tickets ] has lined up a fall tour behind his forthcoming "Changing Horses" album, which is due in stores sometime early next year.
The Texas native kicks off the run Sept. 25 in Dallas and is currently set to hit 24 cities through early November. Details are below.
Information on ticket availability and details on Kweller's December European trek can be found at his website.
"Changing Horses," Kweller's fourth solo studio album, originally was set for release in September, but now figures to hit stores in January at the earliest. The set was produced by Steve Mazur of Canadian rockers Our Lady Peace. Kweller has described the new disc as more country-inspired than his previous work.
"It's an album I've wanted to make for years but just never got around to it," the singer wrote recently on his MySpace page. "I grew up in a small east-Texas town called Greenville where my whole childhood was spent playing in creeks, bass fishing, shooting BB guns, thinking about girls and listening to Garth. After The Beatles and before Nirvana--country music was the soundtrack to my life. It's definitely shaped who I am as an artist."
The record is the follow-up to Kweller's self-titled 2006 effort, which boasted production by veteran studio presence Gil Norton (The Pixies, Foo Fighters).
