So as any Canadian or Canadian wanna be knows the Hockey Song that first debuted on Hockey Night in Canada since 1968 will no longer be herd on Saturday nights. At least not on CBC.
The rights to the song have been bought out by CTV.

Canadians will be invited to write and record an original song for Hockey Night in Canada, with fans and a jury of experts to choose the best new composition.
Waddaya think?
Raine / OLP already made a theme song for Chris Benoit.
Why not for Hockey Night in Canada??

I thought Nettwerk was just the company Raine chose to sell his solo album from, I don't think he owns it.

Yeah, Raine really doesn't need to enter contests to get his music heard

well i have heard of a number of bands with labels entering their song into this contest. I am sure a hundred grand makes most people happy and heck it is a lasting moniker. Yeah Terry McBride owns nettwerk, raine signs with them, they organize his tours. Chantal, Avril, BNL, Sara McL. , guster, etc are also signed with Nettwerk.

OLP are/were connected to Nettwerk too somehow. That's how they got on the Avril tour over here.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
yeah olp are affiliated with nettwerk for sure. raine and terry are chummy as is chantal otherwise i am sure they wouldn't have tolerated the very public feud with avril.
