CM + Facebook
yes, that's right. as if both of these weren't addictive enough on their own, now they've been combined to create twice the trouble! If you're on facebook, go join the CM group!

okay, so we've got a couple people in the group who want it to be made private. i'm going to continue this conversation because it's easier in here.
cass suggested that we just make it private, and whoever wants to join can post in this thread if they want to be invited. i can spot a couple of major holes in that. first, what about the people who don't come here? a lot of past active users have stopped coming to the cm, yet they have the right to join the group. as for this thread, threads on the cm get lost. that's a fact. no one posts in them, and they get buried and forgotten among pages and pages of other threads. unless someone can sticky this thread, using it to recruit members isn't going to work.
also, it was said that random people shouldn't be allowed to join the group anyway. i don't really know why anyone who's not interested in the cm would want to join the group. the group doesn't give any indications whatsoever of what it's about, except the link for the cm in the website, and the fact that it's for cm'ers. and if someone still really wants to join without being a member here, i can only assume it's because they're interested in the cm, and no one can condone that.
let me make this clear: i appreciate the need for privacy, but i don't want this group to be made secret. that'd make it like some sort of elite society that only people who can somehow find out about are allowed in. that's not the purpose of the group. it's for all past and present cm'ers to get together and talk about the cm and reminisce. however, if a majority of people want to make the club secret, or think it's a good idea, i'll do it. after all, it's made for cm'ers.
opinions?

lol i know, i didn't wanna make it a big deal either, but i didn't want to ignore or trivialize the issue. being the only one with mod powers so far, it's all on my head if people are unhappy.
you're just saying that because you want to be a mod. it's an idea, though. if this thread is stickied in addition to that, having a secret group might work.
in any case, there should be more mods. who's interested?

Naw I don't really. I can abuse my mod powers here. And do often. Matt cleans up a lot of messes cause of me.
I mean add mods that have friends that say I don't already have on facebook. Get the oldie timers to recruit the other people that don't go here anymore. :O

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
