Because she can't get on the CM I've been informed.

It's broken for her.

She says hi to everyone though. I believe her exact wording was: "Say hi to all"

I think I would like to start theme days, not like dress up, but rather i will answer questions on certain topics that you are all interested in knowing more about. This of course is by no means anything like our dear Landos thread.

Today it is knitting. ask me a question or if you are a novice, I i can teach you how. Yes my friends right here in my cm living room you can eat cookies and learn yourself how to knit.

some people are easing up slightly on this rule, last i heard. After all the granny bunch are a force ti be reckoned with.

Take your crocheting on the plane and your knitting on carry on.

Crochet hooks and knitting needles are allowed on airplanes according to the TSA guidelines. But keep in mind that any TSA agent can overrule at the airport based on the immediate circumstances. It's a good idea to take some waste yarn, a self-addressed padded envelope (so you can mail the needles to yourself), and extra needles in your luggage just in case the agent on duty doesn't let them through.

Also, the TSA guidelines pertain to US travel only. International carriers have their own rules.

With that, I've flown on domestic airlines recently and haven't had any problems with knitting needles or crochet hooks.

Knitting Needles, Needlepoint & Sewing

Knitting needles are permitted in your carry-on baggage or checked baggage. However, security officers have the authority to determine if an item could be used as a weapon and may not allow these items to pass through security. To avoid this from happening, bring circular knitting needles made of bamboo or plastic and blunt scissors. In any event, be sure to carry a crochet hook with yarn to save the work you have already done in case your knitting tools are surrendered at the checkpoint

Most of the items needed to pursue a needlepoint project are permitted in your carry-on baggage or checked baggage with the exception of circular thread cutters or any cutter with a blade contained inside. These items must go in your checked baggage.

okay apparently you all have the best oral hygiene around

this is my own thread and if the love is not going to flow inward, i will make it flow outward.

let me start with my first interaction (definitely not first memory of) with the CM. I was looking for a recording of Massey Hall (I didn't know the hub existed) That was back in the day when the hub was pretty much active all day and night. People lived on there and had it running at all times. How times have changed. If and when OLP tour or start talking about a new disk it will rejuvenate. I wonder who will be there, will the old stones of OLP still be there or will they make room for a new generation of fans?

sorry i digress.

anyway back to the story. There was one fellow who was more than willing to go out of his way to help me get the recording of Massey direct from his computer thereby bypassing the hub. it was great to have such help. it was because of this that i decided to make a post on the cm. Trying to keep up with the insatiable posting of some people was near impossible, and i jumped in landing on many peoples toes. At that time I was unaware of the hierarchical system that existed on the cm. my dry wit as newbie was seen as insulting and taken personally, I persevered and managed to straighten out that I was not insulting anyone but rather trying to be funny. i often fall flat when i try to be funny - good think i have plenty of padding

I did get my copy of Massey Hall and made all the people I was with at the show incredibly happy that Christmas with their own copy complete with pictures from our experience. Funny thing is we were about 4 people behind the cm crew in the line up.
