Raine was just on Entertainment Tonight Canada. He talked about his new CD with Rick Campenlli. Threw some jokes down with regards to his kids, ect. Not too bad. Replays at 7PM on Global if you're in Canada.

By the way, Amazon has their thirty-second previews up for all the songs on the album, now. A... something, violin or fiddle or something has been added to Careful What You Wish For. It would seem to my ears, anyway.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XK ... 44-1591148

Go! Listen to 300 seconds of new material! Oh, minus the 150 seconds of old material. Oops.

EDIT: And for the record, I really like the Snake and the Crown. yay.
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

For anyone in the Toronto area, this was posted on his myspace earlier today..

Raine Maida wrote:hitting the streets

On Thursday October 25th, I will be busking the streets of Toronto on a mission.

THE MISSION
-------------------

To raise $30,000 over the course of 12 hours to build a school in the Congo.

The entire day will be documented and cut into a short Documentary/Video.

War Child will be the overseeing partner on this project.

I NEED YOUR HELP to realize this goal.

Please come down toss some money into the obligatory Guitar case...sing along...bring coffee...be in the video

Below is a list of times and locations where I will be busking.

If you are unable to make it to one of these locations during the day, please send a cheque made payable to:

The Yellow Brick Road
c/o War Child Canada
401 Richmond Street West, Suite 204
Toronto, Ontario Canada M5V 3A8

Or, you can donate online at: help.warchild.ca/fundraise

To learn more about War Child's school rebuilding project in the Congo, click on the link above.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Raine Maida

Huh, I was expecting The Snake and the Crown to be something new... never would've guessed Who Sold You Out got a new title. I guess that means I've seen him play all of these songs except for The Less I Know though. :D

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

They gave him a quick plug on the Edge.

I figured they'd go live to him for a few since Yonge and Shuter is right at their studios.

I'm back. I saw his last performance outside Starbucks on College and Euclid. He was humble, and personal, intimate with his audience. He played: Yellow Brick Road, Earthless, Innocent, Snake and the Crown, and Sex, Love, Honey. He got agressive as Raine usually does at points in Crown and Sex, Love, Honey. He tried to sing about Starbucks in Snake and the Crown, but failed. I've got some pictures.
