I easily got to level 11 last night and I wish I could keep leveling and unlocking stuff! Hopefully we'll be able to unlock a lot of stuff in the actual game.

There is a lot of unlockable material in the retail. Supposedly, they are going to raise the max level during the beta to 20, here, soon. So that'll make it fun.

You liking it so far??? You're totally in our clan; Johnny too once he gets playing.

Yeah it's awesome. A lot of fun. I'm still unlocking stuff with my bro, for doing the challenges or whatever... dunno what else I have left.

They have some MAJOR lag issues though. Like I have a really fast connection, I'm paying for one of the higher end packages and I end up usually only getting 3/4 bars for connection. I'm sure they'll fix that for the retail version, because I haven't played a game that gets as laggy as this one. It's rare, but when it does, it's really bad.

I have no lag, barely ever. So its a connection issue between yourself and the server.

Further note, MAX level is being raised today in the beta at 10am PST. From 11 to 16; which allows us to enable clan tags at level 12, and also try out some new perks and unlock new challenges. SWEETNESS!

And, I leave for Minnesota in a couple days. I need to find out if anybody in the fam. has cable internet so I can take the 360 with me.

It's not a connection error with just me then. Because many people complain about it. Since it randomly chooses a host to host the game, often if the host's connection sucks, people have major issues. People are always talking about it in the games I've joined and often they'll have like 2 bars of connection while the host is the only one with 4.

EB games is your best bet Loru, but from my experiance, games are pretty much the same price everywhere. Plus you can trade in games at EB, which in turn will lower the cost of the game.

And if I were you, I'd place a pre-order for it(plus the guitar, if you so desire).

can you use the guitar hero guitar for this game, or do you have to buy a brand new guitar for it?

Hey Lori, they're right, the easiest way to get a hold of it on the day of release is through EB games preorder. Or anywhere else that might take a pre-order. However, they have some rules. If you don't pick up the game within 24 hours of release (it might be 48 hours) then they release your preorder for sale to anyone. So you have to remember to go in on release day.

Also, Rock Band was suggested, however, I noticed you said guitar hero 3 for PS2. Rockband will only be on Xbox 360 and the PS3, so if you need the game for the PS2, Guitar Hero 3 is what you want.

Hope that helps.

Also, the game is sold with a guitar and as just the game itself. If he doesn't have a guitar from a previous version of the game, you'll need to buy the bundle which is more expensive than the game alone.

There's going to be a version of Rock Band on the PS2, actually. Probably just without all the online features.
