when are people going to learn that video game ratings are the same as movie ratings?
you have people getting killed, tons of swearing and nudity on the sopranos on tv too,so why the hell do people have to treat video game ratings differently?

Exactly! Some of our greatest movies are incredably violent and they receive praise from viewers.

Its because parents don't pay attention to what their children are playing and when they see the games, they bitch and moan about the content. Then the media and politicians blow the whole thing out of proportion.

yet they'll pay attention to what movies their children are allowed to watch? maybe 10 years ago parents could get away with the whole "OH I DIDN'T KNOW" excuse about what their children are playing, but most parents who have young kids now are of the age of gamers themselves, so they should know better.

So, E3 has been a pretty good showing for Sony so far. Killzone 2 looks sweet (the trailer is actual ingame stuff, not pre-rendered). MGS4 looks.. well, it's MGS4. There's a cool new exclusive they showed, Infamous. Apparently it's like 'GTA: Superhero' but with more climbing/free roaming/environmental destruction and the ability to be good or evil.

Also, apparently the Unreal engine is optimized for the PS3, U3 PC mods will work on the PS3 (modding console games!? woot) and it's a timed exclusive.

A lot of people have been interested in a game they showed called Echochrome, but I haven't seen the trailer yet.

Infamous eh. Looks like crackdown 2, with better powers and graphics. Hopefully more of a storyline.

But, I wish there'd be a Combat Sim that involves today's modern fighter's. Although I love Ace Combat, its not very realistic. am I right?

The newly created 80GB PS3....

VALUE priced at 599.99

So...really......no cheaper system for North America.

If you want a cheaper PS3; get one now before the current stock runs out.

If anybodys parents/significant other will spend 599 bucks to get any a PS3; they're dumb. haha

MGS4 does look great, but I've never been a Metal Gear fan. So, I'm not concerned. Sony can keep it.

You're right.....360 is where its at right now. Mass Effect, Halo3, GTA4, Bioshock, Blue Dragon, etc.

Also....its sweet that the live arcade versions of Golden Axe and Sonic allow you to save. I hated that about Sonic on the Genesis.

Oh....I bought a Sega Game Gear today at a yard sale for 5 bucks. haha. It came with a couple lame ass games, but who cares.
