Im thinkin aboot buying a Wii. Arent I supposed to buy extra things for it?
Extra things? Like what?? You'll need a Wiimote (or more) and a Nunchuck. And I use the Wii adapter for my Wii Online; since I've got everything hardwired and not wireless networked.
I've got three wii-motes and two-nunchks.

No....at least a Wiimote and a Nunchuck to play it. Either a wireless adapter or a wired if you want it to be online.
The Wii is made to be a sweet party system, so eventually owning up to four Wiimotes/nunchucks will be sweet. That's what I eventually want to do.

Yeah, it's a good system to play multiplayer with people on the same console. The online stuff isn't too important because it's never going to be as good as XBOX Live, but there will be a few games that will work online. However, it does have some cool features like a web browswer and other things. What Neil means about the wireless internet adapter is that the wii has built in wifi, but no ethernet port, so you can't use the internet unless you either have a wireless modem/router to connect to the wii, or you buy a USB adapter to use the internet wired.
I'm using my wii on a high definition LCD projector and the wii looks like crap on it, compared to playing 360, so I bought the wii component cords to up the resolution to dvd quality 480p. It's the closest thing that the wii supports to high def and let me tell you, it makes a WORLD of difference. The picture is waaaaaay better. Nowhere near the standards of HD gaming, but way better than the standard video cord.
So you'll need a few more wiimotes and nunchucks and maybe a USB adapter if you don't have wireless internet access. The Component cables too if you want a good looking picture, if you're playing on an HDTV.

but it wasn't appealing before. it has like 2 good games. don't get me wrong, there is going to be a lot of kick ass games, they're just not here yet. As for blu-ray and HD DVD they're both CRAP, because they're DRM protected. If you can't rip your own DVDs, then you shouldn't have to pay for them. It's so wrong.

I meant appealing to me. I've always wanted a PS3 ever since release.
As for Blu and HD-DVD... the DRM doesn't even matter because how many people have Blu-ray drives in their computers anyway? By the time those drives become widespread it'll have been cracked anyway. But the DRM is important in getting studios to sign on to the new formats. Soo... if DRM is going to ensure that Blu-ray wins the format war, then I'm all for it. Doesn't bother me at all. I've never ripped any of my DVDs.

Supposedly a lot more info is coming out on Assassins Creed. Oh, and Manhunt 2 has already been redone and supposedly Rockstar has brought it down to an "E" rating. haha
One of the gaming sites I read already got to check it out......and they said the re-do makes it seem even more fun, than before.

Actually, DRM is proving difficult for hackers. Since it's been around for mp3 use for a while, the only solution they've come up with is to use an internal recorder, that will rerecord the audio of the drm protected software and since it's not an exact copy there is some quality loss as well. DRM should be illegal, it's our right to back up our own material, sure there are pirates, but there are going to be even more pirates if they criminalize things, because they're taking away our rights.

E rating, well thast fucking sucks.
Professional Canadian.
Actually, all its sounding like is the methods are getting less violent; the means of doing so are "more fun" according to what I read.
So.....we'll see. Rockstar didn't confirm that they were settling on "E", so I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up to "M" before its finalized.
