Hey, how's it going?
Question: How would one get to Newfoundland?
I tried mapquesting it. Mapquest doesn't deal very well with islands.
I also tried the ViaRail website. Somebody should smack me in the head now.

Uhhhh Its going to cost somewhere around 300-500 to get to/from the mainland. Driving would consist of going through the Atlantic provinces, trying to get the ferry to cross and spend a day on a boat, then another day of driving to get to St. John's. The easier way is direct Toronto to St. John's or Toronto-Halifax-St. John's.
Nonetheless, its a horribly complicated unnecessary trip to a fairly bland place.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

that's why i didn't go to newfoundland when my family did our maritime trip...i waved in it's general direction though.thirdhour wrote:WTF! 300-500?!? That's pretty close to my whole budget for this cross-canada trip! No wonder newfies have developed such a strange accent, fucken all isolated out there in the atlantic.
Er, well. Now I have to reconsider. Polygamy beer, you say?
I went to St. John NB for reading week. That cost about $300 round trip...and that was with the group discount :S
Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf
Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...
Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...
So glad you could stay
Forever
He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand
You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..
So glad you could stay
Forever
