I clearly have a poster fetish.
If there are a couple of square centimeters of free space on my walls, I'll find a way to fill them.

....just thought I'd share.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I am telling you, posters are so the past. It's all about putting vinyl up on your wall when you have free space now.

I will take a picture of my room, and I have the entire place decorated with my standard posters, drum sticks, guitar picks and what not, but I also have my collection of 7" up on the trim between my wall and ceiling, and some scattered 12" filling up other space.

I'm not wrecking the vinyl, and I am prominently displaying my favorite singles from my favorite bands, so I am happy. My centerpiece is either my entire Fred Thomas section above my bedroom window, or my Neutral Milk Hotel "Holland, 1945" single between my Xiu Xiu and Animal Collective singles.

I also have another chunk of my wall comprised of my Built to Spill and Pavement singles. Those are nice. Nothing better than knowing I am one of the lucky ones that has "Summer Babe" on 7".

But yeah, you should do that. It adds a new dimension to your room, and I am certain if you took a potential sexual partner in there, you'd be getting some.

Ohhh see, thats sweet. Because I have a very small collection of vinyl that I've always felt stupid for having because I don't own a record player. So I threw it all up on my walls today.
I'm fantastic.

i spent over $100 at the poster sale this year. seriously.
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

yeah, i dunno, i went on the last day, and i was kind of disappointed. i can clearly remember a time when the poster sale used to be a lot more awesome.

hmm. i wonder how one would go about making a poster of their own...

Any copy and print place will make them for you. I know we do, its like X per X square feet. You'll get a huge ass poster for $12 and thats probably what you would pay normally for one.
