Greatest Hits cds still annoy me, even with 2 new tracks. I like when bands release 2 CDs with b-sides or more new songs or something. Seems like you're actually paying for something worth buying, instead of buying the same songs over again.

I agree, but I am happy to see that it will include a DVD with live footage and bonus stuff. It is better than I was expecting.

I actually really like it.

I like it a lot.

I'm so impressed.

I never really listened to the live version of like a whore....so this is awesome.

This would make me really excited for a new album....only they arn't making one.
Which is sad. Because this is fantastic. But its going to be Raine's solo for a while. Which is clearly going to be not like this....cause if it was then it wouldn't be a separate project.

I'm rambling now. But yeah, now I'm going to actually buy the CD. lol.
Before I figured I wouldn't because I had all the albums but with this song and a DVD, it'll be worth it.

So I know this is probably on the top of everyones list, but if anyone rips a copy without anyone speaking, can you send it to me (or message me or whatever) asap.
I'm apparently hosting a radio show tomorrow night and I would like to play it but I cant really play it with that DJ talking.
Or if someone wants to try to edit out the beginning for me, that would be fantastic.
thanks. :)

I think they are planning on putting out a new album sooner rather than later. In Steve's latest blog on .net, he was talking about working on ideas for new songs on his own so he'd have some stuff to share with the rest of the band when they get together again.

True, but once you watch the behind the scenes footage or live interview stuff, you'll be done with it. It's not exactly the most interesting material to re-watch, like a concert or something.

Kiss on the Mouth was okay, but i wholeheartedly agree that this studio version is MUCH better than the live one(s).

Jer specifically told me MONTHS ago that the extra Massey footage would be used later on a DVD and I'm praying that this is it.

I'm going to guess it won't be complete. Some were already used in the Rogers special, WTFBU was already used for the music video, etc. So I'm guessing they would edit and pick and choose their favourites. Who knows what they'll do, but I'm really curious!

ok, i'm fine with the dvd not having the complete footage of the concert... but i want Car Crash on the dvd, or i will be severely disappointed.

did they play Thief in that concert?

hmm. i know how some people are saying it sounds like their older stuff, but i don't think so. still, i really like this song.

i also decided to write down the lyrics to it randomly while listening. of course, i realized after i was done that rich and shelley already had the lyrics to the live version up. still, there's a few subtle differences between the two, so here it is:

If you were king,
If you were king you’d set me free.
But I’d be too dumb,
I’d be too dumb to ever leave.
Sometimes it is good,
Sometimes it’s as bad as it could be.
Sometimes it’s lost,
And sometimes it’s right in front of me.

I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore.
I give it, I take it, I come back for more.
I build it, I break it, I even the score.

I thank you for the war.
I thank you for the Hollywood ending.
Thanks for it all,
Cuz life’s not as easy as it seems.
Sometimes it’s a rose,
And sometimes the smell is sobering.
Sometimes it’s a mouse,
And sometimes the sound is deafening.

I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore.
I give it, I take it, I come back for more.
I build it, I break it, I even the score.

Yeah

It feels like it beats you up,
It feels like it knocks you out,
It feels like a kiss on the mouth.
If feels like the saddest song,
Nothing can stop us now,
Feels like a kiss on the mouth.

I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore.
I give it, I take it, I come back for more.
I build it, I break it, I even the score.
I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore.
I give it, I take it, I come back for more.
I build it, I break it, I even the score.
I love it, I hate it, I feel like a whore.
Yeah, yeah

It feels like it beats you up,
It feels like it knocks you out,
It feels like a kiss on the mouth.
If feels like the saddest song,
Nothing can stop us now,
Feels like a kiss on the mouth.

Kiss on the mouth, kiss on the mouth, on the mouth…

It did.

I'm also surprised that they are adding a DVD to the set. I would still love to see it have the music videos, but I'll take live concert footage.

hey Lando... since you agreed with what I said, maybe you'd like to know that Duncan showed us a bit of a Not Afraid demo that actually DID rock like the Juno's... but we didn't get far enough to hear any real working lyrics. When I heard it I was like "whats wrong with that version? Five seconds in and I'm sold!"

We are streaming it on .net as an exclusive prior to making it available elsewhere (e.g. MySpace). I think it's set up as a free stream, so go check it out in the News section.
