New Mars Volta album

i haven't posted here in forever but i am a constant lingerer. For those of you interested The Mars Volta has a new album coming out august 22nd called "Amputechture". I just heard it today and it's the most incredible album i've ever heard.

if i seem like a noob i offer my apologies. I swear i read this thing everyday but when it comes to online message boards im usually the quiet type. this album has me excited though and i felt compelled to share... =)

herm news is they have a drummer change.

That probably wont make much of a difference.

This is an excellent cd. Very cool hearing them do an acoustic track too.

the new drummer does make a bit of a difference. the songs don't sound quite as chaotic as they used to, but they definitely flow together better. this album doesn't jump all over the place as much. they also used a lot more wind instruments too. there's quite a bit of saxophone and definitely some accordian.
