poor poor Mexico... Did I call that one or what?

Here's hoping France can get through Spain. I hope the match against Togo boosted their spirits. And am I the only one glad to see Switzerland advance? Korea deserved to go out in the first round with the luck they had had so far.

A bit late but here are my round of 16 picks:

Germany
Argentina
Australia
Switzerland
England
Portugal
Brazil
Spain

I like switzerland as well, but ideally both would have advanced in my books.

the Italians got a bit lucky today... a penalty in injury time when you're down to 10 men is about as lucky as you can get.

12 yellow cards in total.

now portugal has to face england with their best players injured or red carded while england is still for the most part in tack. not a smart move.

You know, up until this point I hated Ribery. He plays for my favourite club team but I never really liked him. After yesterday he impressed me tons. By far the best player on the field.

that french player SO faked getting hit in the face. if spain hadn't gotten that yellow card, the game would have ended up very differently. france better not win against brazil (haha, funny, eh?) because that would just be bullshit.

i had high hopes for ghana. well, they did decently. just couldn't quite get past the powerhouse that is brazil.

Ya Henry didn't dive because It was a foul but he exagerated it a little too much.

Go Germany! Still undefeated!

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever
