Pedestrian was pretty damn good if you ask me!

The show in itself was awesome, the staff working there were dumb as bricks.

im sorry, what?
you have to, you just have to trust me

First of all there was the people telling us that our VIP side stage wrist bands were ONLY for OLP, then when it was too late, one person found us and said "yeah, sorry, you were right, you really could have went and met all the bands."

Argh

Then, there was one guy there in particular (an older gentleman) who had no idea what our bracelets were, or what they were for. We went up to him once (during the "you can only see OLP thing" and he mumbled something to us and wouldn't even let us explain ourselves. Then when we went to meet the lady to go to the side stage for OLP, he didn't want to let us through. Then some other guy came up and talked to us and said, "Oh, yeah, wait down there by the paramedic office" (DUH!)

I don't know... maybe not dumb as bricks, but certainly WAY MISINFORMED.

It was enough to almost ruin my day.

Not to mention the jackass, powertripping security guards - yikes! I can't even tell you how many times I was threatened to be thrown out for taking pictures. Then I asked Sab/Nikki/Megan to let the band know at the meet & greet. Raine eventually said onstage during the set that we can take all the pics we want. So we all turned to security and told them to F-off :D

I had a blast! I saw Dearly Beloved, Pedestrian, Keane, and OLP and they were all amazing :D During all the other sets we were either drinking :jer:, talking to the guys from Pedestrian, or walking around on the lawn giving away seat tickets to people who would stand up and sing 'O Canada' for us :D They were happy at the time... and I'm sure they were even happier when it started raining later!

Highlights:
1) Meeting everybody from the CM and .net :D
2) Raine using Matt's recording gear for Kiss on the Mouth (when he saw the gear he said something along the lines of "this is sick" and "Matt, what've you been up to?!") -> someone else might remember the exact words... I was slightly inebriated.
3) Drinking and chatting with Pedestrian and Jer after the concert
4) Kruno got shit on by a bird! I missed it, but holy crap I wish I had been there
5) Giving my meet & greet passes to the guys who came all the way from Israel to see OLP!
6) 3am frisbee in the parking lot and the "pile-on". OMG... I'm scared to see the pics ppl took

if you were a duck
if you were a duck I'd set you free
but you would take a shit
take a shit right on me

sometimes its green
sometimes its as brown as it can be
sometimes it's high
sometimes it's landing right on me

I dodged it
I hate it
I feel like a duck
I saw it
I taste it
I'm pissed off as fuck
I cleaned it
I wiped it
but some is still stuck

I thank you for the shit
thank you for the humiliation
I give thanks for it all
cuz shit is more smelly than it seems

sometimes its on my nose
sometimes the smell is sobering
sometimes its a duck
sometimes the quack is deafening

it feels like it stinks you up
it feels like it knocks you down
it feels like a shit on the mouth

yeah... it was a duck.... and by some miracle, shit went everywhere but only managed to hit me. 25 years of feeding ducks bread (they come in my backyard sometimes) and this is how they re-pay me. I'm glad I ate one at a Chinese restaurant.

besides that... it was an awesome weekend... what a blast!

thanks everyone!

a better post to come... I have to see these pics lol

Thanks all for a spectacular weekend! The concert rocked and so do all of you. The 6 hour trip that was supposed to be 3 didn't exactly rock, but was fun making friends with new people while sitting in traffic on the QEW!

Megan, I see you made it back alive....did you get lost at all going home?

Nope, didn't get lost, but it did take me four hours to get out of Canadia since traffic was only going about 10mph for 50 miles.

Thanks for the directions, they were much easier!! :D

It was great meeting you. You should definitely come out my way sometime!

I got back at 3 am last night after hanging out w/ Kristina the rest of the day Sunday.

Back at work for today, then I have to go to a company fireworks party tonight, then we have the 4th off.

My body is generally numb. I've all but lost feeling in my right leg and ankle (gas foot)

But wow what a weekend!
