Young Marble Giants - Colossal Youth
Band of Horses - Everything All The Time
His Name Is Alive - Detrola
His Name Is Alive - Stars on ESP
Islands - Return to the Sea
Band of Horses sounds nice and all, but from all the hype surrounding it, I was seriously let down. I bought it, and it doesn't get me going as much as I thought it would.
Islands is better than the Unicorns. And I loved the Unicorns.
Islands is right up there with Man Man for album of the year. Easily.

Pearl Jam - um .... whatever their new CD is called.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Go buy Sunset Rubdown. It takes both of those as far as i'm concerned.
I don't know man...I was never that big of a fan of Wolf Parade. They were fun to listen to and all, but I never was super geeked about them. And I do go crazy for the Unicorns and crazy dudes with mustaches.
I am a fan of twee pop and crazy instrumentation bordering on noise. Islands is pretty damn close to twee in my book (childlike lyrics, catchy hooks, sugary happiness) and well...Man Man.
