Goddammit, why is it that every fucking good tour always goes to NYC but NEVER EVER comes ANYWHERE NEAR ME?!

If you're in New York, then New York City should be relatively close to you. :)

3 hours is nothing! I've driven 3x that far for shows. Yay for road trips!

I've never heard much Radiohead, ever.

I recall liking "Karma Police" and "Creep" but probably only cuz they were radio hits.

That's really quite close. I don't think Radiohead has played within 3 hours of where I live since 1998. Seriously. They played 2 hours and 15 minutes away from where I lived in 1998 and that's the closest they've ever come. Of course, I had no idea who they were then and I was a little kid so I didn't go.

Because I don't really want to travel three hours for a band I'm just getting into. I'd travel three hours for Fiona Apple (and plan to, if I can still get tickets and find someone to go with me).

I also only have so much vacation time at work. So it's a choice between Fiona or Radiohead - Fiona wins at this point :P

If they were coming more locally, I'd go.

The fact that we're not getting a new album ths year saddens me. I had to double check to see if HTTT really came out 3 years ago. The time has flown by, but must... hear... new... Radiohead.

I picked up my Radiohead tickets this morning :D I didn't realise I'd get wristbands for early entry too. <3 Radiohead for not trying to charge me £90 for the priviledge.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I just read recently the Black Keys are opening a few of the shows...

and my friend and I are trying to get two tickets each day. I have Monday, she has Tuesday.

We've decided that if we can't get them on ticketmaster, we're paying outrageous amounts of money to go.

I went to order my tickets at 10 this morning....
They might as well have been sold out before they were on sale. No one I know got tickets. Now I have to whore out my money to some scalper on ebay (where 122 different chicago ticket auctions are up). It's sickening.

I got tickets to both San Diego shows through Ticketmaster. However, both my girlfriend and myself were searching, and we were both searching on two computers, and on both Firefox and IE on each computer. So that's 4 simultaneous searches for each show.

I searched for one of the Chicago shows, just to get a feel for how tough it would be to get tickets to my show, and wasn't able to get any. However, I wasn't trying nearly as hard for that one.
