I really want to get into an advanced jazz/technique class, but unfortunately, there really aren't any post high school competitive or even mildly dedicated groups around here. Not to mention, all the studios are expensive and my little sisters' ballet costs about 1200 bucks a year. So yeah, my dancing days are over

We do normal glide step during halftime, but for pregame we have two different types of step that require a good toe point: traditional step and lock step. For the leg that is off the ground, your thigh is 60 degrees from vertical in traditional and 90 in lock. (See my profile pic for an example of lock step, although that's not my best toe point. ) Your calf is perpendicular to the ground, and the leg not on the ground should have a pointed toe during both traditional and lock.
Hahahaha, anyone else remember Marissa? Good times....
