Metallica fired Bob Rock, why not OLP too? And i don't think it will be OLP's last album, or atleast it won't be intended to be. When gravity was coming out Raine said that Naveed through SM was part one of hopefully a three part trilogy (his words), and that gravity was the beginning of chapter two. (not a great chapter) but i think Olp wants to put up some 4 more albums atleast.

Ditto :D

And to everyone who says they hope this is OLP's last album:

BOOOOO ON YOUUUUUUUU

I hope they put out more albums, even better than the shit they've been spewing! I hope they can go back to Clumsy and Naveed and take some inspiration from their own fantastic albums, and bring back the OLP that we know and love. The new stuff is weak. But if they can get away from the Rock-influence, I think they can be greatness once again.

I don't agree, they have stepped it up a notch with HIPT, they will only get better, i still cant stop listening to HIPT

His words?

But...can he not count? Did he not graduate elementary school?

Naveed + Clumsy + Happiness + SM = four! Did he forget about an album in there or something?

//EDIT//
Ohhhhhhh I get what he meant.
Never mind! *puts tail between legs and hides*

...Maybe they stepped it up a notch from Gravity, but compared to the first four albums, it's nothing.

Thank GOD they are trying to break things off with Sony. The publicity for these guys has just been awful these past few years. I'm so glad they realize that. Is it too much to hope that they'll go indie? I know the guys are impressed with the indie scene right now and how those artists are handling their music.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

Does Raine still have his own record label? Didn't he start one a looooong time ago?

I'm not sure they'd want to go that route though. They're complaining about a lack of international promotion - which they're not going to get from an indie label.

OLP is too great of a band to stick with a label that gives them 0 attention the u.s. They also need to go in another direction with the producer situation..Although I liked HIPT..a lot..its not what it could have been with a better producer. I'm looking forward to the next album.

Yeah, I didn't say they should stick with Sony ... just that an indie label isn't going to give them the exposure they want.

Maybe they'll record under their own or indie label and just get a distributor.

I think whatever they do, ANYTHING and ANYONE would be better than Bob Rock and Sony.

The faces in Sony have changed around a lot. I can see OLP trying to go the Maple route.
