This case makes my blood boil. Everyone has been watching and praying for a conviction. Next step is to see what sentence they get.

"LONDON (AFP) - In a tale reminiscent of the last Wallace and Gromit movie, furious villagers in northeast England have hired armed guards to protect their beloved communal vegetable gardens from a suspected monster rabbit.
Leeks, Japanese onions, parsnips and spring carrots have all been ripped up and devoured by the mystery were-rabbit -- prompting the 12 allotment holders in Felton, north of Newcastle, to hire two marksmen with air rifles and orders to shoot to kill."

that's just sick. the poor kids. you do have to wonder though, why the kids were given to the grandparents in the first place and the grandmother was put in charge if she was as mentally handicapped like the lawyer said she was.

I've been watching that story today waiting for an update. They are not releasing much information. Caucasian young males... a report said they were all shot but police won't confirm. This actually ranks pretty high on the list of Canadian mass murders.

Update on the story:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060409/ap_ ... dies_found
"TORONTO - Eight men found dead inside abandoned vehicles in a remote wooded area of a farmer's property were all from greater Toronto and all knew each other, Canadian police said Sunday.
The men were found Saturday morning in four vehicles, including a tow truck, at a farm about 90 miles northeast of Detroit.
"We are confident that all the victims were known to each other and were from the greater Toronto area," Ross Bingley of the Ontario Provincial Police said."
One of the vehicles is a tow truck from Toronto, another is a rental car from Toronto, and there's a lot of speculation that this is a result of the rival biker gangs, probably drug-related.

"SHEDDEN -- After a day of bizarre discoveries, police took the unusual step last night of moving four vehicles containing the bodies of eight men from a remote rural road to Toronto.
The grisly discovery earlier yesterday raised the spectre of a underworld battle that ended in what may be Ontario's largest massacre.
"This is eight bodies and four vehicles. It is easier to pick them up (than to) reconfigure them," said OPP Const. Doug Graham of the trucks used to take the vehicles to the coroner's office in Toronto."

The story of Rene Russo, an innocent bystander who was shot at a sandwich shop in 2004, is well known in Toronto. The men involved with shooting her were sentenced yesterday and a lot of details about the Toronto mobsters involved have come out to the media.
This is an interesting 4-page article that kind of reads like a crime novel... details about how Ms. Russo was in the wrong place at the wrong time when some mobsters had planned a drive-by shooting to kill a guy who owed them money.

Dear mother of pearl.
People like that should be thrown in a 2m x 2m x 2m cement box, with only a tiny sliver of light, and only fed periodically.
Then again, is this guy really human?

Then again, is this guy really human?
When the consequence of rage comes through the living room floor.
