Key is to never work overtime in less severely needed. In my 10 months with my company, I've only worked maybe 6-7 hours overtime.

I just decided not to move home for the summer. Now I must find a good job...

Good job Robbo!

I am going to an interview tomorrow that I don't even care about the program anymore...and it's going to be snowing. I think it's a sign I'm not supposed to go.

Usually I can control my day, but if there's a problem with a big client that falls under my domain, I have no choice but to drop everything when something comes up :(

There was an upside to this which I just realized today... as we sat around a boardroom table to brainstorm solutions and work on the finances of the problems, I came up with things people didn't think of. People noticed, and my ideas are a key part of what we're moving forward with. And I was the only woman in an office of 40+ year old men who have (obviously) way more experience than me... I think I really gained their respect.

And my company will never call it overtime when it relates to full time, salaried, professional level employees. Whatever hours are needed, is what you work... the word overtime makes it sound like you get paid extra. Most people (of the 700 in my office) work 60 hours a week, some more some less.

Gonna get tow-up and hit on chicks.
Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.

Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.
gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown

Today I have:

- Physsoc (Physics Society) AGM, I'm running for president
- Physsoc Juice and Cheese, it was supposed to be a wine and cheese but we didn't get on getting our liquer liscence early enough
- skirt day, the day in which me and my female physics friends dress up as females, a day in which we make ourselves all pretty (vs wake up just in time to throw on clothes, brush teeth and barely make it to class on time).
this message brought to you by: astronerds inc. - come to us for all your astro/physics/math curiosities

Yay Robbo :nana:
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Random story from today... can't figure out where else to stick this:

I'm driving home, it's gorgeous outside, my car windows are rolled down and OMA comes on the radio. I turn it up nice and loud and sing along as I'm driving down the road. I have to slow and stop for a light. I keep singing, and I look to my left... the guy in the lane next to me and I lock eyes and we are both singing along to OMA with our windows down... we cracked up laughing! It was such a funny moment!:lol:

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
