Stay

weird, messed up, really cool movie

the cinematography is stunning, the scenes flow together almost completely without any sharp changes. hard to describe, but it's a very cool effect, and very very fitting with the movie.

good, fucked up movie. go watch it.

The effect from scene to scene is cool, however they would randomly do time lapse cuts during same scenes which were sharp and obvious cuts. Those were kind of cool too.

That's true. There were definitely some sharp cuts, but they were fairly atypically, and the smooth transitions in the rest of the movie served to emphasize the sharp cuts when they came.

Hmm ... not really. I haven't watched many good movies lately, much less any good, fucked up ones.

Requiem For A Dream, A Clockwork Orange, The Salton Sea, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Magnolia (one of my favourites, but some don't like it), Memento, Spirited Away, Fight Club.... I could list many more, but it's 3:30AM and I have other things to do.

Oh and EVERYONE SHOULD SEE:

The Assassination Of Richard Nixon, it's a Sean Penn movie. Really good at that.

Let any normal person who's never seen those types of anime watch it.

Then there's the parents turning into pigs, a strange world through a tunnel down some unused path through a forest of sorts. Giant mud like ghosts that absorb everything. A railroad track underwater, a talking FROG even! And a dude with a bunch of arms!
