I have never heard the no fat chicks joke. If i did i wouldnt find it funny. I think you may want to start discussions but have no social graces. Saying you dont look at fat or short women shows your age and general regard for women. We are not commodities that you can label in such ways. You need to take a long hard look at why you say these things

read the pm, champ. if i weren't so afraid of your trigger happy ban finger, i'd let you know how i really feel right now. but unfortunately

ok, so you guys didn't think it was funny. strange, i wonder if any of you laughed at the family guy episode when peter wore that shirt? or at the simpsons one etc...

didn't mean to hurt any feelings. as far as i know, the "no fat chicks" has been around for lik 25 years and was kind of a kitschy bit of pop culture. but if i'm wrong, somebody let me know.

axe...to...grind?

You've done nothing but spout offensive crap since you started posting again. Why would anyone take something you say lightly now?

Sorry for not spending 24/7 arguing with you. Is there any way you could ever forgive me?

well pardon me then, as i stated it was my belief that the NFC joke didn't really offend anybody anymore considering it's wide use in pop culture. i certainly wasn't trying to upset anybody. geez.

but, uh, i'm not attracted to short girls, is that a problem? fat ones don't generally turn me on either, but you know that's just the way i was made. sorry if my sexual preferences offend you somehow but you know, i gotta say that's your problem and not mine.

if i were you, i'd think about THAT for a second. being offended by the sexual preferences of other people is generally frowned on in society (we call the biggest offending group "homophobes").

oh i see, because i made one offensive post when i first got back (again a joke, not trying to hurt any feelings as i ADMITTED IN THE THREAD. guess you missed that part) that means that ALL things i say from that point forward, regardless of content, are to be viewed as offensive?

so, so far you have completely ignored any and all attempts i have made at apologizing, and you admit that it appears to be your intent to hold this grudge for the rest of both of our lives... but i'm the one who's unreasonable? oh, ok.

jesus christ man, it was a light statement. you gonna flip your lid if i make a knock knock joke too? i figured that going with one that EVERYBODY has heard before (except for crustine) would GUARANTEE that i wouldn't have to defend it afterwards.

guess i was wrong. should i take this to mean that i should refrain from joking about ANYTHING in the future?

I'm not sure I'd say it's widely used, but I've heard it. But are you saying that if something is widely used in pop culture, that makes it not offensive? I'm not a fan of that logic.

how about yes, since your definition of joking apparently requires insulting or offending someone in the process.

and no, i'm not. what i'm saying is that because it is in wide use, i thought it was generally considered NOT to be offensive. apparently i was wrong.

i've apologized god, like 3 times in this thread and yet nobody has mentioned that?

that simply isn't true. in fact if you read my posts you'll see that until today i had never insulted another forum member. or not in the last like, 2 years anyways.

No. People found it offensive in the context of the way you've presented yourself to the board. You have to earn people's respect. You can't talk about beating your girlfriend one day and then expect them to laugh when you make disparaging jokes about women (even well-known ones).

Yes, I've seen the family guy episode. No, I wasn't particularily offended when you said it here. But I can definitely understand the reactions of other people in this thread, especially given your attitude recently.

Insulting and/or offending.

I've seen only your posts starting with the 'I hit my gf' crap... which according to your definition was a joke. I don't think you've had many other posts since then which didn't insult and/or offend someone. If there are some, forgive me, as they must have been overshadowed by too much other immature and/or idiotic crap.

I can't believe I'm responding to this nonsense.

i have over 2400 posts on this board and in 2004 was given the oskar for most political. so yeah, i have a lot of posts, even since then, which were incredibly meaningful.

kathy you have one more post to change your tone with me before i let fly.

rob you allowing her to talk this way to me (calling me idiotic etc) while threatening to ban me if i respond in kind is fucking disgusting. i'm not asking you to ban her so please don't, just looking for a chance to even the playing field.

i used to think you were pretty cool and had a LOT of respect for you. that is rapidly changing here though.

There's a difference between heatedly arguing with someone and talking about beating your girlfriend.

Kathy: keep it civil

this marks the first time a moderator has ever defended me from attacks on this board, is this true or false rob?

also, is it true or false that i have been attacked on this board dozens of times before? including once by a member of your own mod team?

come on man some of this has got to be getting through. i'll happily lay down the sword here if you think you can take a step back and look at this from an unbiased perspective. i really do believe in your ability to impress me, so come on big guy do it again here.

What exactly is that supposed to mean? Oh right, you like to threaten women when they're lippy.

hahahahaha! geez i didn't even see that when i was posting it, but good call. wow i guess this isn't really helping my case.

all i was doing was stating my intention to chirp at you as you have been at me. but thankfully my knight in shining armour stepped in.

just imagine what kind of things i would be saying if i was TRYING to offend you though, eh? if i can cause this much of a stir with comments i consider to be benign, imagine what i could do if i were looking to hurt your feelings. think about that the next time you decide you want to call me stupid etc.

Again with the threatening. Why do you feel the need to do that?

I don't think I called you stupid. Just because I find a particular post idiotic, does not mean I believe the poster is necessarily an idiot. Sometimes it's true, but that's not the point.

Also, I don't think you could offend me at this point, no matter how hard you try. I think I'm immune to you now.

Thanks for the lovely conversation. Have a good night

well if you're immune to me how come you're still getting pissed off over it? i used to get pissed off when people said "faggot", till i'd heard it 200 times and i realised it was just a word, usually used by people who are idiots.

not to say that i'm an idiot, just trying to let you guys in on my enlightened perspective.
