Personally, I find it all really interesting, especially since there isn't really any other source to find out this kind of thing from (I mean from a woman's perspective, not some cold textbook).

I can think of sooo many smart-ass replies to that, that I'm not even going to bother.

I also don't think I've ever posted in this thread. I wonder why.
Perhaps secretly I'm a Fleeger.

About the tampons thing..
I couldn't use them til I lost the Vcard. But after that, I could no problem. That's weird that you guys all have that problem. *shrug*.
I think pads are sick sick sick. Nooo thankyou.

Please forgive me if this has already been said as I havent had the time to read through the whole thread. Appologies if this is a repeat.

Part of the problem with tampons is the angle and relaxing. I would definitely suggest starting with the smallest you can find, yes you will have to change them more often but it will be easier. The biggest problem encountered is angling up instead of back. If you can find the right angle you should be able to get it high enough that you won't feel it. I suspect this is the most common problem, that the tampon is too low in the vaginal cavity and yes that does hurt and stings and is generally not nice. If you can get it high enough in and angled back towards the cervix then you shouldn't feel it at all. Another point is if it is a light day I would not reccomend using them because it will hurt to get them out.

You will also find that if you use a larger tampon for a heavy day you probably will have more cramping. It took me years to figure that one out.

Hope this helps.

I remember hating tampons at first, and having a lot of trouble with them when I was first trying to use them, and putting them in wrong a few times (and being able to feel them because they weren't in right)... but now I could not live without them.

i don't know nearly enough about tampons, since i only started using them a few months ago, but the best advice i can come up with is to find a position for yourself where putting them in doesn't hurt. start small, probably use a light one first. and you know that instruction sheet that comes with the box? yeah, that really helps to look at. if it hurts when it's in, it means you didn't do it right.

The string irritates me. So uhh... as helpful as that all was, I don't think it'll fix the problem.

Pads are fine to me, anyway. People think they're ickier, but personally I find them a lot less gross than tampons.

I have cramps and feel all bloated, does this mean I'm having my first period? Am I finally becoming a woman?
