I haven't read any of the LOTR books or seen the movies. Not really interested in it. Not my cup of tea..

Yeah for him getting into London Calling(Awesome cd.) and Bowie.

I had to laugh at what he calls Diaster TV.

He even says they won't be around till about April..

As for Desires. I think he meant desires that aren't necessarily good. For Example, if you wish someone dead that is a desire that isn't good.. Things of that nature. That is how I took it.. Esp since he was talking about Diaster TV.. I Love it. Disaster TV.. SOunds like the name of a new reality show.

I've never read any LOTR books. I was taken to see the first film but did not enjoy it at all.

Add me to the list of CMers who haven't read the books, too. But that's cos I don't read. If I did, I'd probably read them, because I remember enjoying The Hobbit as a kiddie.

My friend told me about the books about a year before Fellowship was released to theatres (I'd heard of them but was rather indifferent to the whole fantasy genre before then), so I read the whole searies before seeing the movies.

And I'm glad I did, too. the books are so much better <3 (but the movies are amazing)

ehnn i dont agree that the books are necessarily better. but then, the books are a billion times more detailed than the movies..
