With no official word from Sony about a release date for the PS3 console or accompanying games, it appears that Gamestop has let slip some precious information.
If Gamestop’s information is correct, the games listed could well be the entire launch title selection for the PS3 and may indicate an October release date for the Playstation 3.
The games are:

Devil May Cry 4
MotorStorm
Warhawk
Fight Night Round 3
Formula 1

Actually......I'm with you. The gamerscore idea is a neat ass way to get people to actually play their games more because they actually have something to try and achieve. I really think the whole achievements-factor is sweet. However, I'm not appreciative of the "Score a D" achievement in DOA. haha!
I can't wait until they get Street Fighter II and Texas Hold'um on the Live Arcade. I hear SF2 is due by the end of the month, and Texas Hold'um due by April. Freakin sweet!

Great.......Sony's gonna sue the pants off Gamestop, now. haha! And...if that is the launch title list, its weak. Good thing I don't plan on buying that shitty ass thing w/ the boomerang controller.
Also.....anybody else hearing rumors that Nintendo is considering retailing the Revolution for a mere 200 bucks!!???

Yeah man, I love the xbox live arcade. There is a demo of geometry wars on PG3, and I love it... and PG3.

A lot of people, I've noticed, play Geometry Wars......what the heck sorta game is that??? I'm too lazy to consider looking to see if theres a demo of it on the Live Arcade.
I'm actually planning on purchasing the full version of Bankshot Billiards2 sometime this coming week.
Have you checked out Amped 3?? I got it comin' in the mail right now from Gamefly. I don't usually check out snowboarding games, but this one looks pretty good.

Too late......its freakin WHACK. And Revolution's stupid idea for a freakin controller is whack too. I don't wanna have to hold my freakin game console controller like I'm trying to change the flippin' channel on the TV remote. So stupid!! Thank you Microsoft, for rippin' off PS2.

My guess is the Revolution will outsell the Gamecube by a longshot and become a huge hit. Not many people thought the DS was a great idea either. Secondly, the PS3 controller will most likely undergo a redesign as it was a no show at GDC. Lastly, Geometry Wars is an addictively simple game much like Robotron or say.. Smash TV. Just way, way better. Really it's all I play. That and GR: Advanced Warfighter.

According to the President of Sony Computer Entertainment France, the PS3 will cost somewhere between $613 to $736 US. At least that is the amount that comes up when it is converted from Euros. Of course, to make it seem cheaper than it really is, they will sell it at $599, or $699. Ouch.
Edit: http://www.joystiq.com/2006/04/05/ps3-e ... -it-seems/
According to this article, pricing will be more along the lines of $499 or $599. Still a heavy blow, especially when compared to the 360. Oh Sony, let's hope you know what you are doing.

I'm not one to defend any system particularly because I'll have them all, but I don't see how the PS3's controller is "WHACK" 360, kept the same controller, changed the black and white buttons to triggers and Sony's keeping the exact same controller, just making it more round and longer handles. It's still the exact same, just like XBOX. As for the Revolution controller, it will also have adapters to turn into classic controllers like the gamecube's, so that you can play older games normally. The fact that they're trying something new just adds a brand new aspect to gameplay.
