I have to say that the line-up didn't do a lot for me...I would have rather gone last year.

Yeah. My response to that lineup was, "What a crappy lineup." Depeche Mode and Tool are big bands, so yay, but I don't enjoy Tool and I've never listened to Depeche Mode other than just a few random tracks.

Last year they had Coldplay/Nine Inch Nails for headliners, as well as New Order and Weezer playing earlier on the main stage. They also had The Dresden Dolls, Eisley, The Arcade Fire, Bright Eyes, just to name a few... a couple of those bands I don't listen to, but people like them.

2004 they had Radiohead and The Cure headlining, along with The Pixies, Death Cab for Cuties, Bright Eyes again, The Killers....

This year? Tool, Depeche Mode, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros... and with very few exceptions compared to the last two years, a lot of bands whose names I don't even recognize as "yeah, I know people on the internet who listen to that band."

Too bad the Smashing Pumpkins rumor was apparently false.

yeah, i was just going to say that the Bonnaroo lineup is MUCH better... also, last year's lineup for Coachella was sweet. sigh.

I would have liked to see the BlackStar reunion last year...

I would really like to see Sigur Ros...but not outdoors, I think.

OLP would get like a 30 minute set. Instead, they should make up their cancelled dates in the southwest/pacific states.
