They'll be doing a live interview and performance on MuchMusic from 7 PM to 8 PM, and a countdown special from 6 to 7. Additionally, there'll be a "video diary" of this on Star the following day sometime between 6:30 PM and 7 PM.

I want to get this sucker recorded for a hub DVD project. Here's what we need:

Someone who can record the entire show directly to their computer from the beginning of the countdown at 6 PM until the end of the show at 8 PM. And the Star thing the following day if that's possible. For the DVD project, it must be recorded with the video in 8000kbps 720x480 mpeg2, with 48kHz pcm (wav) audio. WinDVR version 3 or higher can do this easily.

As a back up copy, it would also be nice to have someone who gets MuchMusic to go out and buy an 8-hour premium quality VHS tape, and record it in SP mode on a VCR. There should be an extra 40 minutes of space, which should be enough space for the thing the following day.

i will definitely try and tape the show on vcr. i have digital cable, so even as a backup, it should be relatively good quality.

3. I haven't got a clue as how to rip it.

Sounds good. If you get a chance, pick up one of the more expensive VHS tapes that says they're "premium quality" or something along those lines to use for it... I've recorded things with those, and things with standard VHS tapes, and I swear there's a noticeable improvement in the video quality.

If you want to go then go. The only reason I didn't plan on going is because I am going to Hawaii in Mid Feb..I would of gone up other wise.

How long in advance do you need to take time off?. THis is the show I told you about weeks ago.. I know at my job we can request up to 60 days in advance..

I really can't, though.

I only have about $50 in the bank at the moment, Valentine's Day and my girlfriend's birthday are both coming up in less than a month, and last month was Christmas break so my paycheck at the end of January is only going to be for 1 hour of work.
