Yellowcard isn't bad at all. I really hope they've grown up with their sound though. It's pretty embarassing to admit my liking of them.

I just started listening to the new album...
I gotta say, I'm very impressed. Still don't really like Ryan's whiney voice but instrumentally it's really really good. I give it a nice 3.75/5.

after they kicked ben out .. i don't listen to them anymore
they were banned from my playlist months ago.
ryan is a cocky egotistical bastard

i'm not even going to bother with this album.

mmhmm... considering he's the one that started the band .. they were assholes about it too .. they basically railroaded him out .. without ben jammin' and the way they gave him the boot, i have zero respect for them now .. he's been gone from the band since about august or so.

I heard he left cause he wanted to focus more on his label. I don't like Ryan either, seems like an a-hole.

I actually was just reading an interview with Ben in Alternative Press in which he admitted for the first time that he really didn't want to leave Yellowcard, especially since it was the band *he* started. Apparently the other guys pretty much just kicked him out. Sounds like it was really rough for him.

no, he didn't want to leave :neutral:

they forced him out .. they had already hired the new guitarist before they had even told ben jammin' and they were having meetings without him

he issued a statement saying he wanted it known that he didn't want to leave the band... it's quite sad. at least he still has takeover records though.

Ah, I see... Well the band is messed up. Ben was the only likable one.
I mean,
Ryan: A-hole
Shawn: Meh, Violin... come on... violin!
Drummer: Alcoholic or mental defficiency (not saying that's bad, but he incomprehensible in interviews)
Basser: seemed like Ryan's whipping boy

They're playing a free show @ the Mod club on Monday the 30th night. To get tix you gotta listen to the Edge or show up at the edge studios before the concert... If anyone does win and has extra ticket.... pretty please? I'm stuck at work all day and can't listen to the Edge

. Should be a good concert, this album would translate well live. I might even say this album rivals that of HIPT.
