Christmas 2005 Our Lady Peace Greeting?

Har har!
I'm not a fan of AC/DC so I don't really pay attention to them much. They did it for Slipknot too - replaced the "singer" and didn't change the name, but I don't like them either so it doesn't bother me for them either

Perhaps I should have said,
I <3 DUNCAN AND MIKE AND ALWAYS WILL FOREVER AND EVER!!!

I Mother Earth did the lead singer switch.

However, Jag (guitarist) wrote all the music and Christian (drummer) wrote all the lyrics, so creatively they were essentially the same band.

Granted, the band hasn't made an album in 3 years, and hasn't toured in 2-3. So aside from Jag who's been producing albums, they probably all are.

INXS did have a singer after Micheal died.(Jon Stevens) They toured with him 2001/2002.. They also did a song with him that showed up on one of greatest hits/anthropology records. It is not like they decided let's replace Micheal now after years. They just wanted to really be able to put oout new music and things didn't work out with Jon.. . YOu should check out the new CD. It isn't bad.. I was against it at first but watched it cause I love INXS.. They were one of my all time favorite bands..

ROCKSTAR was something the band actually did so they can put out music. They weren't really into the whole reality thing and maybe picked 6 out of the 14 contestants to be on the show.. YOu guys only know the stuff shown on TV..

I find it fasicinating how you said with OLP it was sort of different. I remember thinking that when Mike left. How at least he is still alive. I will never see Micheal again.. I do however have fond memories of him throughout the years..

Joy Division's singer killed himself and then they became New Order, and I think that's how it should work.

Agreed.

Except in the case of IME, where creatively the vocalist had less effect.

For the most part though, the vocalist provides the central differentiating sound for a band. Usually you can find an instrumentalist who plays in the same style as the one you're replacing, but vocalists are easily identifiable by ear.

IME is on hiatus, most likely they are through, and Edwin is in the studio again recording a new solo album.

the grateful dead had pig pen who died of liver failure he was replaced with Keith Godcheau and his wife donna, they then kicked them out and replaced them with brent...hmmm last nam? who was on keyboards, he od-ed and was replaced with vince welnick ( of the tubes) and then when Jerry Garcia died they put it to bed...welll for a while cause now they are just the Dead with others joining in.

I was appaled when i saw the INXS card. I can't belive it. like inset band here and put on snowflakes. Also they don't work on macs. Basically one picture with snowflakes. Woo hoo I feel so special for my 50 bucks!

I want Jag to get his freaking act together and finish producing that live DVD (which will never happen now, I'm sure).

Yeah, we weren't too impressed when we realized the site was just carbon copied from INXS's site. They missed an "INXS" in one of the help FAQ answers, so that's how we found out. I wish it were still Stace designed. Sure, we wouldn't have the blogs or upload abilities, but at least it was special and OLP.

I would've offered to lend a hand to Stace with the php coding if I knew the site was gonna just be a copy INXS's site (and was still gonna be buggy).

Heh yeah. I bet you wouldn't charge the band as much as whoever's doing it now is, too.
