The Next Generation of Consoles: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii

I'm not really into console gaming but I'm into making a few bucks.
I'm debating if there will be enough demand for the 360 to warrant standing in line for a few hours buying one then selling it on e-bay for twice what I paid for it.

Just wondering
A. How much of a glut there will be on ebay
B. If more will be released before christmas or not

Maybe I'll sell it to Iran so they can use it to control nukes and such

Well someone posted a link in another thread for how much one sold for on ebay, but the problem here is that if you're going to sell using paypal, you're going to get screwed because you'll have to update your paypal account to accept a payment of such a high amount and then paypal takes a cut when you upgrade to a different type of paypal account.

Sure I know this is all pointless since the system as already launched.

Ahh...thanks for clearin that Lando. I honestly had no idea....I'm not all that familiar with those sorts of things.
Now, if thats being the case I will say that Microsoft is making a bad choice. You're right, they are limiting the overall potential of the Xbox. Watch them do what you said, and make these sorts of changes down the road and shaft everybody.....
I still hope to be standing in line come the 22nd at midnight, but I guess we'll see. Just gotta come up with the rest of the money.

No problem, in fact when they were first finalizing development of blu-ray, they had already created a 4 Layer disc. So if that was after initial development, who knows what's happened since then. Which means right out of development Blu-ray has potential of having a minimum 100GB disc for PS3, while Xbox 360 has the potential of 8.5 GB!

So guys I got my Xbox 360 PREMIUM PACKAGE on Tuesday @ Zellers :O

I was so surprised that I got one too because after work at 7am I rushed down to Walmart to see if I could grab one. Unfortunately, they were sold out of all the xbox premium and core systems. I then rushed down to Zellers down the street from Walmart to see if I would be successful at obtaining one. Fortunately I was.

I was the fourth person in line @ 10 after 7. And they only had four of the premium systems available. So I scored the fourth and last one available at that Zellers location! I was shitting myself!

There were shitloads of people showing up shortly after I did and when they heard that the premium ones were given to the first 4 people who showed up, 90 percent of them complained, complained and complained some more to management and then left. I was like "HAHAHAHAHA YOU SUCK" on the inside to the people who didn't get a PREMIUM system. I really consider myself blessed that I obtained one!!!

The PREMIUM system itself costs 499 Canadian and the extra wireless controller was 60 bucks and NHL 2K6 was another 60 bucks. So the total value of everything was 716 bucks! :O ...I <3 CHRISTMAS!!!

which means they're going to just use stupid schemes to get more money from people. They know once the PS3 and 360 are compared people would spend anything to upgrade their 360s as much as possible.

And they aren't using HD-DVD anymore so i don't know what they're planning to do. If they're smart they'll just buy out a bunch of developer companies. They did it with RARE and if they're smart they'll do it with others, because IF the PS3 is far superior as far as speed/performance/graphics etc... Microsoft isn't going to sell cross-platform games very well. They need to have XBOX ONLY licenses to keep people happy and wanting a 360 down the road.

Funny story...
mmmkay.....so, my dumbass sold my original xbox (15 games, and all goodies such as headset/adapter, dvd/adapter) for a little over 200.00 bucks on ebay...

Obviously, blows for me now cuz now i got noooooo Xbox......I'm finding the NES helpful for my withdrawl.

But it can't last.....I just payed some fool sixty bucks for just his console, 2 controllers, the dvd adapter, and headset adapter. haha! At least I can play Halo2 again till I get my 360. Oh...and Indigo Prophecy since those are the only 2 games I still own.

all the info can be found there. I can't exactly find the exact thread I was reading earlier but to my understanding Halo 1 and 2 is pre-programmed into the XBOX 360 Premium bundle but you need a special emulator to run the two games on the drive.
