Yeah, but this video's taking it further than normal. Like someone said... no blurry background people in this one, even.

Ditto.

teedus18 wrote:Just saw a behind the scenes of the video, which was sad because Raine said he hated doing the OMA video, which I liked a lot.

I don't blame him! That must've been torture to film.

Oh, and I'm with the band. OMA video sucks. I've always hated it. Perhaps cos it also has too much Raine and no blurry background people? Hmm. Interesting thought.

Has anyone else noticed that in the video, after Raine does the "Looks like the holy ghost is gone (x2), looks like the war was in your head (x2)", they only do the chorus once more before the end, whereas on the CD they did the chorus twice.

I destest the OMA video as well. Someone once tried to tell me that it had some deep meaning, but I guess I missed it.

"video that never was"? never heard of it.

<_<

>_>
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I don't get it. A/L/S isn't that long of a song. Why the h-ll do they feel the need to chop of a few seconds of the song while keeping Greenday's "Jesus of Suburbia" for the whole 9 minutes? :freak: Yeah..not much of a Greenday fan these days..

Well, I'm not afraid to admit it but I don't mind too much Raine. I thought the focus on him flowed with the song..it would have looked out of place, IMO, if they had focused on the rest of the band just as much.

And OMA was a damn, good video...and complemented well with the song. Very few videos bring the point of the song but if they bring out the energy and the emotion, then they've succeeded.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

The version I saw was a little over 9 minutes, same as the album track.

A longer cut of OLP's video could exist. *shrugs* Clumsy had a video for the radio edit and the album version. I don't see what the big deal about cutting the guitar intro is though. With all that slow motion camera work going on, a few more seconds at the beginning would just suck that much more energy out of it. :P
