Or they should've done videos with him for every single track on Spiritual Machines and then released a DVD of it.

Nah, he was just looking out the window. Later the girl was looking off a rooftop and saw him walk behind the corner of a building.

Just saw a behind the scenes of the video, which was sad because Raine said he hated doing the OMA video, which I liked a lot.

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

im assuming you're talking about the the little thing they had on MuchMoreMusic news... in addition to raine talking about OMA video being sucky, he and the rest of the band stated that they wanted their video to be "simple, just focus on the beautiful landscape and the song" or something to that effect. jer said they specifically didn't want a storyline to the music video. duncan and jere seemed to like it a lot even though they admitted OMA being a bad video (this came up when it was mentioned that raine was shot alone during the majority of the video, which was also the case for OMA).

Oh man.. I liked the OMA video... in fact it's what got me hooked on them in the first place. I mean not only was it a crazy song in a style I'd never heard before but they had the lead singer like flying at me.

I can't imagine them not liking the OMA video. :freak: That video is typical OLP. Just makes me wonder how much creative control the band has with their videos.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

When they started out, they would have had little to no control. By the time OMA came around, I'd imagine they'd have had at least a limited amount of control.

But I can see them not liking the OMA video. As far as TV exposure went, I'd imagine focus would have been largely on seeing the video, not hearing the song. OMA was probably their most creative single to date (and would have been the band's favourite at the time, I imagine), so having a video that's liked more than the single would have been a bit of a let down for them. After all, they're responsible for the song. The director is the only one who really gets pride out of a video being popular.

However. If you're going to make a video for a single, I still say it should be a video that does something for the song. A/L/S saps the energy, and comepetely removes the band dynamic (the OMA video, for example, features performance shots throughout the video, as do most of their videos. this doesn't). Plus the fact that the video doesn't make any sense (and not in a good way).
