I remember Kyle too. I never met him but he looks cute :D
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Ok, yeah...but if you're not a solid, you're either a liquid or a gas. And then the joke just doesn't sound right. Well, actually it wasn't that funny in the first place.

You know what, fuck it. I give up on humor.

Well well well - what do we have here?

(actually a "source" told me to check out this thread)

You guys are way too nice, I really didn't think I was that well known in the CC/CM community. Hey, does the CC even exist anymore? Made some good friends there.

So I guess it's clear -- I'm not dead or anything. Here's what is really going on in my life:

This past summer I moved to Windsor. I know what you are thinking: what the hell went wrong in my life? Actually it's good news -- I'm working on my Master's at the University of Windsor. It's a fantastic programme, I'm one of only FOUR MA students. Lots of support, chances for funding, TA work, scholarships, etc. I'm really passionate about it. I definitely fit in better in the academic world vs. the corporate world (for those remember, I worked at YTV in Toronto, which is where I crossed paths with Rob Higgins).

In terms of my absence from here, well, to be honest I just grew out of OLP. I didn't even pick up the new album, and I think my last show would have been that Best Buy one... 3 years ago, holy crap! My big music interest is still Dave Matthews Band. In the last 3 years alone, I've hit close to 20 shows. I'll be at the Joe Louis Arena show in Detroit on Dec 3, and I actually have front row tickets for Toronto at the ACC on Dec 4.

Now that being said, just because I'm not into OLP doesn't mean you guys aren't still cool! User names keep changing, but I remember you all: Joey, Alex, Lori, Sand, etc.! Those pictures bring back nothing but good memories. I know I've said this before, but I'll try to keep in touch more!

Seeing as this is a picture thread, I'll attach a more current one. I'll dig around my computer and see if I can find more from "back in the day." I do remember a group one from in front of the Edge on Yonge Street.

Hahahahaha. We were freakin' genius. Didn't we realize the ice bucket was small and inefficient so we started using garbage cans?

PS - my current e-mail is kyle41@gmail.com if I ever "disappear" again.
