but he specifically asked for quaddy... and it's a good fallback if the factoring don't work out
yeah, i know. you can figure out what x is by factoring though so it amounts to the same thing. you're supposed to do the quadratic equation, i know, but the factoring method's always worked for me. and it saves you the trouble of having to memorize the quadratic formula.

My teacher won't let me use the quadratic formula. She makes us factor it all.
That might be 'cause I'm not supposed to know it yet, though.

No it's not.
Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The WolfOnce you're lost in twillights's blue You don't find your way, the way finds you... Tempt the fates, beware the smile It hides all the teeth, my dear, What's behind them... So glad you could stay Forever He steps between the trees, a crooked man There's blood on the blade Don't take his hand You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue Shadows creep & dance the walls He's creeping too.. So glad you could stay Forever

factoring you have to like, think and figure it out.
Quadratic formula you just have to calculate.
I guess it depends where your strengths are.
unless you're in level one. Then go for the factoring.
