that might sound like overkill but like claire said, better safe than sorry, and also better to get professional adivce now than wait until you've dug yourself in deeper - until things have gotten much creepier or more dangerous or difficult (which they might.. i obviously don't know the situation firsthand).

Yeah, defintley get out of that. Make up some reason as to why you need your guitar back, then bring a friend and get it back. Then when you're back at home, say you don't want to see him anymore.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Joanne wrote:no...
i definitely knew he was 31.
..after the first date though. he was like "i dont call girls my girlfriends until the 3rd date or so" and now he is calling me his after one... not bad right?

he is telling his therapist about me and his therapist is proud of him.
he keeps bringing up the fact that i am a virgin.
he is now begging me to go on another date, every day...
he also told me his had ego problems a year or so ago and that led him to bad things... but refused to tell me what they were.
he was a hardcore drug addict until 5 years ago, and he still is not sober and is drunk almost every night.

all of this... he told me like wednesday night... 2 days after our first date. and i really want out of this situation i dont like it.

and my problem is ... i have to go on another date with him because we traded guitars. his bass for my les paul for 2 weeks. and i want my les paul back, its worth more than my life.

It seriously can't be THAT hard to get a normal guy, even one somewhat near your own age... No offense, I really don't mean to sound mean, but it's like you looked for a guy with a shitload of problems when there are definitely more you could have chose from and avoided situations like these...

Maybe look in other places... Unless you're seriously telling me you can't find a guy who isn't currently an alcoholic with past extreme substance abuse problems who's currently attending therapy, perhaps related to ego problems this guy had...

Well if you honestly can't find a guy that doesn't have any of those things, at least find one a little closer to your age.

This way if he gets you into a bunch of shit that will only end negatively, then at least you can both say you went through it at around the same point in your lives.

Here's a tip for both girls and guys. Don't meet people at rehab clinics.

so..this guy matt.
we were going out for 15 months and then we broke up. well, we are technically "taking a break." he needs to sort out some shit going on in his head, he says. you changed me so fast when i met you i need to let it catch up with me, he says. but i thought i changed you for the better, i say. you did, he says. i'm SUPER FUCKING CONFUSED, i say. i miss him a lot. and we still talk. but it's so awkward now. and i still love him.

*mutters* breakups suck. i just broke up with my boyfriend of two and a half years...mind you, it's a breakup for good.
but we do still talk. and we talk about how we miss each other, and how hard it is. it's a very odd situation. everytime he comes over, we end up hugging like crazy..and. i don't know.

point of this response: i sorta know what you're going through.

in other news, i'm becoming a hermit.
