This is the address I have been putting in:olpnickelback.no-ip.info. The error appears after I click to connect and the it comes up with the error.

I know I have my software firewalls disabled, but with SP2 installed, whenever I install DC++ and run it the first time, or certain other programs, it pops up a window that says something like "the program DC++ is attempting to open up ports blah blah blah" and if you aren't paying attention and click yes instead of no, DC++ will act exactly like it is for you.

Are you able to connect to other hubs using DC++? If so then that's not the problem. If you can't connect to any, then it's either a problem with DC++ and you should try installing an alternative Direct Connect client, or it's some sort of firewall.

A regular firewall shouldn't stop you from being able to connect to the hub.

Go to this page and try following the steps under "Enable programs by using Windows Firewall" for DC++

Well, just make sure to use the address with 411 in it whenever attempting to connect.

I really can't fathom what could possibly be causing the error. :freak:

Try to connect with 68.118.92.105:411

Maybe it's not resolving the DNS name...If that don't work, see my previous suggestion
