you mean world issues and individuals and families in a diverse society? yeah, we have lots of random-seeming sociology and geography type courses.

My college has a "shopping period" thing where we can go to as many classes as we want the first two weeks and then pick from those, so I just figured out my schedule for this semester:

ASTR 310: Galactic & Extragalactic Astronomy
ASTR 355: Observational Astronomy
ASTR 465: The Evolving Universe
MATH 310: Intro to Complex Analysis
PHYS 420: Statistical Thermodynamics

I'm a junior so I'm doing the rigorous classes for my major (Astrophysics) now...ick...

group work is key to passing. and what's with getting a problem set on the first day?

We got the problem set on the second day...still grr...and yeah, the only way I've done decently well in some of my classes thus far here is through group work...cuz our work is so damn hard and sometimes we have to teach it to each other...why'd I pick such a hard school?...

i didnt understand much at all

Yeah, I love my school and all, and I definitely am happier here than I've ever been anywhere in my life...I just sometimes wish the classes weren't quite so hard. Good to get a challenge, though.

eh classes are always hard
unless you take anthropology wow that was sweet and a pretty good class, if my drift is taken like it's supposed to be taken

you'll find that once you come out of university, most of the shit you learned is useless. at least that's what i've found, and i'm 2.5 months in.
