Yes this deserves it's own thread (mods can lock it if they really want) because for the last 3+ years I have done nothing but shit on this band and rag them for producing a lot of the crap they had come up with during the Gravity era.
BUT
I decided to give them a chance and last Tuesday I went and bought the album, and to my pleasant surprise it is really great. I finally understand what kind of raw sound OLP was trying to mold itself into. While Where are you? is pretty weak and Gravity-esque, the rest of the album is very emotional and I found myself intrigued by something that I thought was going to be utterly disappointing.
But, although the music is great I really don't find myself interested in the band anymore. I have no ambition to see them live or even talk much about them anymore, which is why I haven't been on the CM in a couple weeks. So if I'm not around the CM much anymore that's part of the reason (other than the fact I've been trying to stay away from the net). I wish the band and everyone here well and hopefully this place continues to be a great community.
