OLP One Of The Best Concerts

Post by Scutley »

Do guys think Our Lady Peace one of the best concerts?

I have gone to the one at the State Theater a few years ago, and to me that was the best concert I have ever been to (I've seen a lot of bands in concert by the way). The Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World concert does compete with Our Lady Peace, but I think Our Lady Peace was better by a little bit.

OLP is probably the best that I've been to, though.

Yes Radiohead are notorious for putting on the best shows. Certainly the best I've seen.
OLP are fairly average at best. Their setlists have sucked for one thing, plus Raine doesn't sing well live. Jer's always solid though, probably the highligh actually.

Nah to do that you turn it away from any monitors that are playing the sound from that mic, and you can also try kicking things or throwing full, closed water bottles at the soundboard guys.

I'd have to agree with the 'doesn't sing well live' comment. Raine seems to be hit or miss and a lot of the time [at least from what I've seen] it's a miss.

But, when he's on.. he's ON.

I was at the detroit state theater show and that was amaing....probably number 2 in my OLP concert experiences:

1. MOD Club Aug 29/05
2. Detroit State Theater Sept 18/02
3. London John Labatt Centre Oct 13/02

Oh and i was at the Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday Show this year at Arrow Hall....was that the one you were at......Great show

Wow, you wouldn't think Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday would be that good in concert. I think OLP is good at what they do, but they don't match up to the big league guys, like Radiohead, U2, and all those folk. I wish the Live DVD was cooler, I've watched quite a few, and some were pretty awesome. Godsmack had the lead singer come out and play drums at the same time as the drummer, it was amazing.

I think alot of people are shocked by the fact that artists do not sound the same live as they do on their Studio Album.

I was the first time I went to a concert. I think OLP do well enough, but i'd have to say Radiohead was the best live concert i have ever been to.

I saw Something Corporate last year and they were absolutely AMAZING. I've seen several major bands in concert now, but not one of them had nearly as much energy as the SoCo guys did. They run all over the stage, and Andrew jumps all over his piano, and the guys usually jump into the crowd at the end. That was one of the best nights of my life...but in 4 weeks I'll be able to compare OLP for you :)

I think U2 was the best concert I've ever been to. And I had the crappiest seats ever.

OLP in Dec 02 was top three at least.
