I don't listen to the radio around here but I checked all the major station's websites and they don't even seem to recognize that a band called "Our Lady Peace" exists.

On the Posters on Ebay it says

"Healthy In Paranoid Times

Containing the songs

Where Are You
Will the Future Blame Us
And Picture"

So I'm going to assume they're the first 3 singles.

That doesn't mean anything, anyways. Albums often have a little "Featuring" sticker on them, but the singles have yet to be determined. It would be bad marketing to pick three singles right away. For example, if a fast rock single does really well, you might want to consider releasing another similar track. If not, perhaps something softer and different would make a better second single. That may not be the way they'd choose, but I'm sure Sony would want to pick singles based on the popularity of the previous single(s).

When OLP got signed with "complete creative control" back in the day I wonder if that included choosing their own singles?

I don't know.

Actually, I don't know if they're even on the same contract now...? I thought people were talking a while back about how Live would be the last album require to finish off the contract.

Well considering how amazingly lenient the label was to let OLP take so many breaks and keep on coming back to working on the album I'd say they still have considerable freedom compared to other bands. I mean even they said that in the podcast about how other bands wouldn't get that opportunity.

Of Course the label would be leniant, OLP is definitly a very good source of income for the label, so they want them to make something good.

I know but I was wondering if that was also a result of their contract. If you think about it they've been really lucky to have been able to make the music they've wanted to make for all these years without any limitations.

*hopes for Angels Losing Sleep*

'cause that would kick some major ass. Although, if they're looking for a single they think a lot of people could get into I'd bet on WTFBU

Hmm, I don't think so... I think the contract is for studio albums. But I might be making that up.

I find it amazing after 6 studio albums + 1 live, where most other bands go down the drains after 2 albums, OLP are still kicking and screaming and punching at everyone...and made possibly the best effort in a few years with this album.

I would love Angels to be the next single. That song caught my attention almost immediately.

I loved angels so much when i heard the clips a couple months ago. Now, hearing the full version....it just doesnt really do it for me anymore. I think they could have done a better job with it. Dont get me wrong tho, it is a great song.

I think Love & Trust would make a great single. It's got that older OLP sound but still sounds original at the same time. And it seems to be the most popular among us fans.

i could see Don't Stop making a lot of members of the "Raine is hot and i want his babies" cult or the "i like songs that remind me of sex although i have no clue what the hell any of the lyrics might really mean and like i don't care because my hormones are through the roof and hey come watch me make out with my cd player" group.

let's hope people don't interpret it that way. :heythere:
