Yah, there's going to be a ton of people reading this review, which is too bad, because Its a really great album/

It seems that he likes the review, but doesn't agree with the reviewer's opinion.

Uhh, if I'm not mistaken the first comment was directed towards the "shipwreckislands" review, while the next two were referring to the Toronto Sun review.

Haha, Exactly Axtech.

My response wasnt phrased too well, I strongly disagree with the reviewers opinion.

I donno about you guys but I have never in my life bought or not bought an album because of a review. Ever. And I do read the reviews.

Yeah, me neither. I find that my opinion is usually the direct opposite of the reviewer's. But I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who would get a bad impression of the album after reading the review (i.e. not hardcore fans like us but people that might be mildly interested).

Same here. A positive review may sway me towards downloading some music to try out, but a bad review won't stop me from buying an album.

Well what if you were somewhat curious about some band you had heard one song from, and you were thinking of buying their CD, but then you read a couple of reviews that said negative things about it. Wouldn't that make you think twice about going to buy the CD?

If I was curious after having heard a song, I'd download some other tracks, no matter what the review said.

Then I'd be living under a rock without an internet connection or newspaper subscription with which to read these reviews.

One of my favorite sayings is - Opinions vary as everyone has one (there is another variation of this saying but I'll stick to the nicer one :) )

Plus I tend to think for every good or positive review there are at least 2 more bad ones out there...

Some will take in reviews more then others but if your been a fan from day one the die hards will always buy an album to show their devotion...

Our view at www.shipwreckislandstudios.com with our CD Reviews is give people the most honest opinion of an album and while there are reviews we've done in the past on albums that weren't as good at least our from point of view...

A straight forward review is what we try to do best so that way a music fan can either be cautious or know what they are getting with a certain album... We try to tell it like it is and let people know we like and in our view sounds great but everyone has a set of different ears so opinions always vary...

I for one am proud of this review and truly think that Healthy is some of OLP's best work... their best since Spiritual Machines in my opinion...

For me it took a while to really grasp Gravity and now of days I think its a good rock album but Healthy just blew me away as a music reviewer and more importantly a music fan because most critics are just that they listen to an artists latest work and compare it to their first or 2nd album because usually thats the best effort from a band the first or second album... Me I'm just happy with a strong album and great musicianship and songs that have meaning...

Well anyways thats my take on it... Take it or leave it... I found the Toronto Sun's review a interesting read for the day...
Just trying to tell it the way The Island sees it...

All the best...

I'm not just saying this because they're not glowing reviews, but the Toronto Sun and the bumfuckville, Michigan reviews were pretty weak and half assed. This sounds nothing like a record from 1995..at all.

um.........minus the bumfuckville part and all that......i agree very much about this review being the shittiest yet. i mean from the title you can tell.

walking in circles being the best? what?

the article wrote:Our Lady Peace is barely a step above its modern-rock counterparts, and its desire to remain stuck in 1995 is both unique and frustrating.

hmph! YOU'RE frustrating! :(

Your right, that central michigan review is bad.

Reviewer's make me angry sometimes, because I feel so strongly opposite of what they say.

Every single time.
